Community Outreach

Just Neighbors conducts community outreach to inform immigrants and non-immigrants about current immigration laws and policies. Through our presentations, we strive to build bridges between immigrants and non-immigrants as well as form partnerships with government agencies, other service providers, and members of the community.

Just Neighbors reaches out to individuals, groups, and organizations, including but not limited to these:

  • English as a second language (ESL) classes
  • Faith-based groups
  • Government agencies on the local, county, and state levels
  • Law school classes and conferences
  • Newspaper and television reporters
  • Nonprofit organizations and service providers
  • Public school employees
  • Social workers and shelter staff

Please view our Events page to learn about upcoming events. Join us at an event to learn about issues facing the immigrant community and how we can work together to enhance people’s lives and strengthen the northern Virginia community.

If you would like Just Neighbors to conduct a presentation or lead a discussion for your community group, church, or agency, please contact us.

Immigration Reform

It is our pleasure to help the most vulnerable in our worldwide society to achieve such dreams as finding a safe and secure living environment, gaining the right to work, and being able to care for their families. United States immigration laws have a very large effect on individuals and families living in northern Virginia. Just Neighbors supports immigration reform advocacy efforts and often participates in events relating to immigration reform. Please view our Events page to learn about upcoming events at which you can join us to advocate for immigration reform.
